Illusion, appearance, levity, waiting. Manuela Holban creates a transcendental time, a time in time, during which the woman, captive, disputes her sensuality. Shadows, flickering hands, bodies waiting, calling eyes, bare long necks, haunting characters are caught at the border of the world.
Diffused, seen as trough mist, just a few powerful strokes are to reveal the form, removing the characters from their intimacy. Colourful, individual spaced, they interfere with each other. Now Casanova meets Marie Antoinette or Dona Alba by Goya.
