Nicola D'Arco, May 14, 1975, Nola, Italy.

Graduated in 1994 from the Art Institute of Avellino, Advertising Graphics department.

“Since 2000, I started the first works on canvas using the mixed collage technique, over which I intervened with oil painting. In 2003 I began to experiment with the technique of takeoff being attracted by the current of New Realism in the ʿ60s founded by several French and Italian artists, including Mimmo Rotella, from whom I learned the meaning of expressive language. I was attracted to this technique of breaking the poster as a sign of protest in society, and this way of exploring the poster, of destroying it, comes from within my personality. ”

A cinematic opening at an exhibition of film posters, in a Hollywood gallery, the Rotenberg Uzunov gallery in the artistic heart of Bucharest, a stone's throw from the Romanian Athenaeum, on Constantin Esarcu 1, on Nov. 14 the day before Lent, as to experience a very rare gift, in a lesser known style, in our country, a fascinating take-off!

The famous images in a kind of inverted puzzle, will test your memory of passionate moviegoers, challenging you to a kind of archeology in the 7th art, with legendary faces, from Elvis, to Claudia Cardinale and the Cheetah, passing through the heartbreaking Parisian love story with Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca without ignoring Sophia Loren or Marthe Keller!
